Spreading awareness through informative training sessions

SPREADING AWARENESS

Manish Biala continues his streak of spreading awareness through informative training sessions. He was invited to deliver two sessions at the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes & Narcotics, Hyderabad, a Workshop on Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights for In-Service Customs Officials. The Workshop was held on 17 July 2019 by the Cell for IPR Promotion and Management (CIPAM) in collaboration with National Academy of Customs Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN), Faridabad.

The entire day turned out to be quite eventful with the participation of a large number of custom officials. His First Session aimed at discussing the “Role of Customs officials in IP Enforcement Provisions of the Customs Act, 1962 r/w border enforcement rules, and various notifications/ circulars issued thereunder” while his Second Session was addressed along the lines of the “Scope and Impact of IP Infringement Practical Training on Brand Identification.”

We are hopeful that such continued public commitment and awareness will prove to be fruitful in countering the largely prevalent counterfeit trade and aiding custom officials in the successful implementation of their roles and duties.
